St. Mary School offers no-cut athletic opportunities for all students in 5th-8th grade. Our school participates in the Aurora Catholic League. This allows us to play against other Catholic schools in our area. The league offers Co-ed soccer, boys and girls basketball, girls volleyball, and girls and boys track. We do participate in the IESA State Track Meet each year, too.
If our students would like to participate in football or wrestling, we do have a co-op with Huntley Middle School to allow our students to play on their school teams. Our sports program is only possible with our parent volunteers to help in coaching and working our home games.
All student athletes must maintain a certain GPA to continue playing sports. Student athletes must have a sports physical, concussion waiver, and fees paid prior to the first practice.
Students 5th to 8th grade can participate in Track and Field. The season consists of 3 to 5 conference meets. 7th and 8th grade students also compete in an indoor meet at Marmion and IESA Sectional. Student athletes can qualify for the IESA State Meet at the IESA Sectional meet.
