St. Mary School offers no-cut athletic opportunities for all students in 5th-8th grade. 
Our school participates in the Tri-County Catholic Conference. This allows us to play against other Catholic schools in our area. The league offers Co-ed soccer, boys and girls basketball, girls volleyball, and girls and boys track. We do participate in the IESA State Track Meet each year, too. 

​ If our students would like to participate in cross country, football, wrestling, or track and field we do have a co-op with Huntley Middle School to allow our students to play on their school teams.  Our sports program is only possible with our parent volunteers to help in coaching and working our home games.  

All student athletes must maintain a certain GPA to continue playing sports. Student athletes must have a sports physical, concussion waiver, and fees paid prior to the first practice.

Girls Volleyball ​

Girls 5th to 8th grade can participate in volleyball. We co-op with St. Mary Sycamore for this season.

Co-Ed Soccer 
​August - October

We have 2 teams combined into 5/6 grade and 7/8 grade. We participate in the DeKalb AYSO League. 

Registration: please note you MUST register on two completely different websites and pay two different fees.

St. Mary School DeKalb is able to participate in Cross Country and Football from 6th to 8th grade
​with Huntley Middle School.

Boys 5th to 8th grade can participate in basketball. We co-op with St. Mary Sycamore for this season.

Girls Basketball ​
​December - March

Girls 5th to 8th grade can participate in basketball. We co-op with St. Mary Sycamore for this season.

Boys 5th - 8th have an opportunity to participate in volleyball.  We co-op with St. Mary Sycamore for this season.
After you register for boys volleyball, please pay online (fees apply) or pay by check in the school office ($45 to St. Mary School Sport Boosters)
Students in grades 6th to 8th grade can participate in cheer. We cheer at all the boys basketball home games only.

Co-Ed Track and Field 
​March - May

Students 5th to 8th grade can participate in Track and Field. The season consists of 3 to 5 conference meets. 7th and 8th grade students also compete in an indoor meet at Marmion and IESA Sectional. Student athletes can qualify for the IESA State Meet at the IESA Sectional meet.
