Tuition Assistance Programs

Financial Aid Process - Opens January 15, 2025
Families applying for financial aid will need to complete an application and submit the necessary supporting documentation to FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment by April 1st, 2025. There is a fee to submit the application.  This process is first-come first-serve and your students must be fully enrolled in the upcoming school year to be considered for financial assistance.  

Applicants can apply online on or after January 15, 2025 by clicking the FACTS link .  Once an online application has been completed, the following information will need to be sent to FACTS to complete the application process:
  •  Copies of your Federal tax forms including all supporting tax schedules.
  • Copies of supporting documentation for Social Security Income, Welfare, Child Support, Food Stamps, Workers’ Compensation, and TANF.
 All supporting documentation can be uploaded in pdf or jpg format online.

Peggy Hoyt Guardian Angel Tuition Assistance Program
  • The Guardian Angel program started in 2014 to provide tuition assistance up to 50% of tuition costs to families who want a Catholic education for their children but cannot afford the entire cost of the tuition.  Families must apply for this program. Tuition assistance is awarded to students in May after all donations from the previous year are received. 
  • There is a $40 fee to apply for financial assistance and the process can take up to 2 weeks. Assistance is awarded on a first-come-first serve basis. ​
If you would like to donate to this fund, you can send checks payable to "St. Mary School" to the school office or the St. Mary DeKalb Parish Office. ​

Privately Funded Scholarships
  • ​Current St. Mary students going into grades one and four through eight can apply for privately funded scholarships. Each scholarship will fund up to $1,000 and is applied directly towards your student's tuition for the next school year.
  • Students apply for these scholarships in March/April to be awarded in May prior to the school year starting.

Raise Right
  • Raise Right is a rebate program available to all families. Parents purchase gift cards and gift certificates to shop at national and area stores. A percentage of the purchase is then applied to the student's tuition account. This can help to defray the cost of tuition for our parents.

Additional Calendar Raffle Tickets
  • All families are required to sell thirty (30) raffle tickets each year. If you sell more than the required tickets, half of the additional ticket sales will be applied to your tuition account.
