*Family Obligations for Parishioner Rate: To qualify for the parishioner rate, a family must be:
1. Registered parishioners at St. Mary in DeKalb (or another parish with a Catholic school).
2. An active parishioners by attending weekly Mass AND financially contributing to St. Mary in DeKalb.
In July and December of each year, active parishioner accounts will be reviewed by the Pastor, Parish Finance Committee, and Principal. If it shows that your family is not actively contributing to St. Mary DeKalb then a charge of $500.00 dollars will be charged to your FACTS account. Without parish support our ability to maintain the exceptional education we strive to provide is jeopardized. Since the parish subsidizes the cost of operating the school you’ve agreed to “use the Sunday collection envelopes on a weekly basis unless other arrangements have been made with the church office. This practice of giving back is not only a cornerstone of our faith but also critical to sustaining our school as a shared responsibility among all school families.
**Non Contributing Catholic Parish: If you are affiliated with (attend and financially contribute to) a nearby Catholic parish, your tuition will be higher based on the fact that tuition subsidy has to come from your parish. We invite you to talk to and encourage your pastor to participate in paying the difference of the parishioner rate vs the non contributing parish rate by agreeing to have your affiliated parish pay this nominal amount.
